Ingredients
-
½ Tbsp. dried basil
-
½ tsp. black pepper
-
1 (28oz.) can crushed tomatoes
-
1 (14oz.) can diced tomatoes
-
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
-
1 lb. ground beef
-
1 Tbsp. olive oil
-
1 small onion, diced
-
½ Tbsp. dried oregano
-
1 tsp. salt
-
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
-
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
Directions
Heat the oil in the cooking bowl on the BROWNING function. Set the timer for 12 minutes. Once oil is heated, about 1 minute, add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the onions to the cooking bowl with the garlic and continue to sauté until onions are tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes. Add the ground beef, oregano, basil, salt and pepper, and continue to cook until the beef is browned, about 4-5 minutes.
Pour the remaining ingredients into the cooking bowl with the sautéed garlic, onions and beef. Stir all ingredients together.
Place the lid on the pressure cooker and lock into place. Press the SLOW COOK LOW button and set the timer for 6 hours. Note: You can also cook on SLOW COOK HIGH for 4 hours.
When the timer goes off, stir and use sauce to top cooked pasta.
